EDITOR'S LETTER: FESTIVAL NEWS

Festival season has officially started! It is the most glamorous time of the year…of course, we are talking about the Cannes Film Festival!

The Cannes Film Festival is not only about films but in recent years become a festival that includes high fashion clothing, glitzy jewelry & exclusive parties. People from all over the world arrive in their private jets & yachts to be a part of the glitz & glam of the French Riviera.

This week will be full of exclusive events in luxurious hotels, private villas or yachts between Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and St.Tropez. After hearing all that the French Riviera has to offer during the Film Festival season, you might now question, ‘How can you get through the Cannes Film Festival?’ Well, that is a great question and a topic that I would like to cover in an upcoming article. But for now, let’s enjoy this experience and see how it goes!   I have been fortunate enough to attend many exclusive events during the Cannes Film Festival. Two of the most luxurious events are hosted by high end jewelry designers Chopard and de Grisogono. Both high end jewelers plan the most beautiful events that all A- List celebrities & Socialites attend. The fun doesn’t stop there. I had an unforgettable evening partying in Leonardo di Caprio’s private villa. A magical night on Roberto Cavalli’s yacht. Dancing the night away with Justin Bieber, Dan Bilzerian, Gigi Hadid on another exclusive yacht party. I was extremely fortunate to attend the movie premier for “Extendable” with Silvester Stallone, one of my favorite actors since I was a little girl.

Of course, the Cannes Film Festival would not be complete without the red carpet. Walking on the red carpet and stairway of the Palais de Festival is a breathtaking experience! The first time I walked on the red carpet I was terrified by hundreds of camera flashes and people all around you was a bit scary at first bit. The second year I walked on the red carpet I was able to be more self-confident and calm. By the third year, I was so relaxed and enjoyed myself to the point that I started dancing on the red carpet!
