Come to Nepal for an amazing opportunity to see Nepal and spend a week in a rural community, in the low zone of Himalayas, helping to build an orphanage with sustainable materials.
FROM MARCH TO APRIL
The charity trip will be for two weeks and will also include a few days of hiking in the Himalayan Mountains and visit the temples of Kathmandu.
Choose two weeks that work better for you from March to April or join Valentina Nessi, President and Founder of VITA Association (www.vitaassociation.org )
FROM 23rd OF APRIL from 6th OF MAY
The orphanage construction will begin in February and continue until May of this year. The orphanage will have 10 rooms, including a library and dining hall for the children. The orphanage will be constructed with sustainable building materials called Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks (CSEBs) made locally out of earth at the Conscious Impact Training Center in Takure, Nepal.
During the charity trip we will visit the work site of Conscious Impact (www.consciousimpact.org) where we will help to make bricks, plant trees and spend time building an orphanage for 18 children whose parents died in the 2015 earthquake.
Any volunteer that chooses to join the trip will also:
- Learn about sustainable agriculture and tree planting
- Learn how to produce Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks (CSEBs)
- Learn the basics of earthquake-safe construction
- Walk in the Himalayan mountains
- Live in a community of international volunteers
You can find more details about the volunteer experience at www.consciousimpact.org/volunteer
