Paris Haute couture fashion week is over, but there is still a lot of things to do in Paris, like to visit the Yves Saint Laurent exhibition at Fondation Bergé. This are the last days of the exhibition, so if you are in Paris hurry up, it’s really worth it!
The Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent houses several thousand haute couture garments and accessories as well as a graphic, photographic and audiovisual collection. These archives also include additional documents from the ateliers, storage facilities and press department.
The exhibition “Yves Saint Laurent 1971: The scandal collection” seeks to reconstitute the spring-summer 1971 collection. All the models on display are held by Fondation Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent except 2 models.
During this collection, Yves Saint Laurent also had Greek inspirations. These dresses were auguries transforming the professional models into vestal virgins and turning the show into a virtual battleground. Even the bridal gown featured an Etruscan motif that seemed intended to ward of evil.
If you are interested to visit the YSL exhibition, these are the last days, until 19th of July. I really suggest everyone to visit this exhibition.
