My fourth day in Cape Town I left early in the morning to discover the Atlantic coast of the Cape Peninsula which offers some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the world. We have stopped on the Camps Bay to admire the beautiful beach, with soft white sand and the outline of Table Mountain in the background. Later we went to visit the beautiful Hout Bay, from where start the Chapman’s Peak Drive, a coastal road that offers breathtaking views!
We crossed the Cape Point National Park and arrived at the Cape of Good Hope, the southern point in South Africa. We climbed up to the lighthouse to admire the magnificent panorama.
The National Park is home of many animal species. Along our route we saw monkeys, sea lions and penguins. We did a boat tour around the island of sea lions too.
We then continued on to the towns of Muizenberg and Simon’s Town, a charming most famous for the colony of penguins at the Boulders Beach.
The encounter with the penguins was definitely the most exciting moment of the day.
