The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty beginning 14th Century. It is located in the centre of Beijing. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the religious and political functions. It was the center of the Chinese government.
I was particularly impressed by the architecture and statues surrounding the palace.
During my visit to the Forbidden City, I was wearing comfortable shoes, a pair of black leggings I bought in Wangfujing fashion street, black boots and bag by Valentino Garavani, black Jacket with gold details by Dolce & Gabbana, black sunglasses by Cartier and a red Chinese silk shirt to give a little touch of color and a oriental touch to my look. I was also wearing a typical fur hat I found in the street.
I felt it was casual at the same time chic, perfect for a walk in the streets in a cosmopolitan city. Enjoy the photos!
