MIAMI FASHION WEEK 2013 - V Fashion World

Hello fashion affectionados, I was so happy to be back in Miami for the fashion week! This was my second time in Miami for this special fashion event. Last year they called “Miami Beach International fashion Week” and this year they wanted to do a shorter name so just “Miami Fashion Week” more easy I guess! Well the location for all the fashion show in Miami is always the same, at the Convention center Hall D. I felt like at home over there since I spent a lot of time! People in Miami are really cool, funny with a special taste of fashion style! For me attend at the Miami Fashion week is like attend a funny show! Why? Because everything it’s so easy-going, model most of the time are not professional, they even don’t know how to walk, they said “Hi” to their parents and friends from the catwalk,… Nothing compere to Paris or Milano, but actually I like it, this is the funny party of America, or better from Miami! With this fashion week I had the opportunity to discover new emerging designer from all over the World, most of them are from South America, their style is much more colorful and happy. I chose to do this year one post with the best of the 3 days of Miami Fashion week to give you a general idea of the style and new trends.

The First Day the Fashion Show started with the Miami Style Showcase featuring Florida’s fashion emerging designers as Erin Healy, Crystal 4U, Lisu Vega and Miami Style Designer: Julian Chang, Kayce Armstrong for Art of Shade, Viviana G for Petit Pois, Fabrizio del Castro and Nicolas Felizola.

Day 2 of MIAMI FASHION WEEK I attended at the swimwear showcase featuring Shaquoya Jackson from USA, Tantrik Swimwear collection by Jamaica, Sambarela from Brasil. After the swimwear showcase I attended also at the prêt-à-porter showcase featuring Dolcevita cashmere, Heidy Estrada, Claudia Anicy and Mujeres de Bolivia by Pauolo Silva.

Day 3 of MIAMI FASHION WEEK: Closing Event Miami Moda & Music Awards featuring from Milano to Miami, TV Moda by Jo Squillo and European Designer showcase with capsule collection by Roberto Cavalli, Alberta Ferretti, Blumarine, Iceberg, Byblos, Moschino, Krizia, Vivienne Westwood and Stella McCartney, along with with the South Florida premiere fashion show by one of the world’s top bridal designer, Rosa Clara Couture.
