Vita Association aims to support, help and promote beneficial projects for people, especially children, who live in a difficult situation, so that they can have a better life.
After the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal in April 2015, Vita Association started the VITA FOR NEPAL project.
In 2016 Vita Association collaborated with Mani for Nepal for the construction and distribution of 200 stoves, for cooking and heating houses, in the Makalu Valley.
In February 2017, we began the construction work of an orphanage in the Sinduplachok Valley, the area most devastated by the earthquake that struck Nepal in April 2015.
The orphanage was built with sustainable building materials called Stabilized Compressed Terrain Blocks (CSEBs) made locally at the Conscious Training Center Impact in Takure, Nepal.
In April 2017 we went to the place to personally follow the work and help build and transport bricks.
Twenty-five children now live happily in the new building run by Mrs. Meena Thapa, her husband, school teacher and two collaborators.
During our recent trip to early November we spent a few days with the children, distributed school supplies, clothing and personal hygiene products.
We also bought a cow with veal, four goats and chickens. Thanks to these animals, children have fresh milk and eggs every day.
The building is almost completed, there are still two bedrooms, two toilets, a library, a playground and a fence to protect the courtyard and the farm.
