30 THINGS TO DO BEFORE 30

Last week, fashion blogger & creative director of V Fashion World, Valentina Nessi, turn 30th for this occasion she prepared a list of 30 things you should do before 30th.

I officially turned 30 years old. It’s scary to say because your reach an important age of life where you analyze the experiences that have been experienced; some of them you learned from it and others will remain simple life experiences.

For this reason I wanted to create a list of things you should do before thirty years old. Nothing is mandatory of course. Is just a cool list of things to do that is better you try to do before thirties. Nothing will happen if you do after that age.

I can proudly say that I’ve accomplished 100% of this list.

1. TRAVELING SOLO
Is nice to travel with friends and family. When you are a child you travel with your parents, then at ages of sixteen of eighteen you start to travel with your friends and class-mate, but what it’s really interesting is to try to travel by yourself, to any destinations. Traveling solo it’s a wonderful experience everyone should try to do. We will write in the next post a selection of places to visit.
2. ROLLER COASTER RIDE
Are you afraid of dizziness or speed? You should definitely try do a roller-cost ride. It’s scary I know, but is a good way to overcome fear.  There exist a multitude of parks you should go like Universal Studios, Disney World, Gardaland, and many others, the most famous one in the world, it's called Six-Flags Magic Mountain park with the highest roller-coaster in the world.
3.DIVING WITH SHARKS
Diving is one of the most extraordinary things to do in life. If you had never done before you definitely try to do it. I did my OWD (Open Water Dive) when I was in Sardinia at age of 23 then the year after I went to Caribbean to the BVI, British Virgin Islands, and I dive for the first time with sharks, raja and barracudas. This is absolutely an amazing experience.
4. CAMEL RIDE
It’s a dream of every child to go to the desert and try a camel ride right? The camel is one of those animals that fascinate us because is unusual for the occident’s people to ride. We are mostly used to ride horses but not camels. The closes place to go near Europe is North Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya but also Egypt, Turkey and more in the Middle East you can go to UAE like Dubai or Abu Dhabi and even in the desert of Rajasthan in India, where I did my camel ride last time.
5. SHOPPING IN A SOUK MARKET
The souk market is the market or bazaar in the old city. One of the most famous one in the world is the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. The one on Marrakech is well known as well. It’s very nice to get lost in the little streets of the souk markets and negotiate with dealers to buy any kind of products. The funny part of negotiation is that longer you negotiate less expensive you buy. This kind of deals you can never do in a normal supper-market.
6.SLEEPING IN A TENT
Have you ever experience to sleep in a tent? The first time I tried was at age of sixteen in a Bedouin tent in the desert, the second time I did a camping with the college and the last time I slept in a tent in Nepal at the beautiful Conscious Impact Camp.
7.MAKE BRICKS
Have you ever tried to make bricks? Unless you are a professional bricklayer. When I was in Nepal I tried to make bricks to help the local community to build theirs homes and with that bricks we are also building together with Vita Association and Mothers Sister a children home for 18 orphanages. This is even a better cause to stop for a week to do what you are doing, go to Nepal and makes bricks. An experience you should definitely to do. Learn more about Charity Trips to Nepal HERE.
8. TO EAT ON A FLOOR
We are usually used to eat around a table with confortable chairs but we are not used to eat on the ground. Well this is an other experience you should do. In many cultures around the world, eating on the ground is normal for them. When I eat in a local farmer in Bhutan we all seat on the floor.
9. EAT A HOLOTHURIA or SEA CUCUMBER
Do you know what is an Holothuria? Is a genus of echinoderms known to be vulgar as sea cucumbers that live on the seabed’s all over the world. This sea cucumber is considered a delicacy for Asian people, especially in China, where I taste it for the first time.
10. WALK ALONG THE GREAT WALL
The biggest and longest building made by men. For a total of 21,196.18 kilometers built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
11. ELICOPTER TOUR
There is different way of transportation, cars, trains, airplane,… and helicopter. This one if for sure the most exciting one, I don’t know exactly for which reasons, maybe because is small, or well I don’t know why is exciting but it is. For the helicopter you can have a spectacular view; maybe this is the reason. I did several helicopter tours, the first one was in Hawaii, second one in French Riviera and third one, the most spectacular one was in Zimbabwe overlooking the Victoria’s Falls.
12. WILD SAFARI
I love wild animals and you? The most beautiful experience I did I my life is a safari in South Africa. I saw form very close wild animals in captivity. I saw lions, elephants, zebra, giraffe, rhino, hippopotamus, monkeys, crocodiles and leopards. If you are passionate about photography I really suggest you do to a photo-safari.
13. BOAT PARACHUTE
I’m not brave enough to do sky-diving, so I did a parachute, which is similar but more easy and safe.
14.OPEN A BLOG
Why not open a blog? I did open my blog when I was 25 and now after five years I’m very happy of what I’m doing.  Better to open a blog before thirties, but in fact is never to late to open a blog. I try to convince my mom to open a travel blog since she is very passionate about travel photography.
15. MAKE YOUT OWN HOME-DÉCOR
Living life is much prettier when you surround yourself with only things you like and that inspire you. I made my new apartment in Paris and I choose every single piece and furniture.
16. CREATE AN IN-HOME OFFICE SPACE
The beauty od being a bloggers is that you work from you own home. I honestly don’t have an official office space because I like to work from everywhere: from the sofa in the living room, from the kitchen, from the garden in summer time, rarely on my bedroom, and very often in the TV room in the evening. I do also work in the train or at the airport. Even if I can work from anywhere I still have my own place dedicated for paying bills and keep my documents, which is in my own room.
17. CREATE YOUR OWN FASHION COLLECTION
This is not something that anyone can create I know but at least you can create a dress or a costume for a special occasion. In the past years I started to sketch some clothes design and finally this year I choose to make it real and produce my own collection. I’m so happy and excited about this project.  I will reveal soon more photos of my new collection.
18. BEING FREE
At the age of 18th you become “adult” and more independent from your parents. At this age you start to think to be more free then with the years you learn more about freedom and you learn that being free doesn’t necessary mean to do what you want, but to think and express yourself in the way you want, this is the real freedom.
19. WHITE NIGHT
I’m sure everyone once in a life went to school or to work with out sleeping all night long. I did thousands of time when I was younger. Not that I’ve turn 30th is more difficult, I need my beauty sleep. So is better to do a “white night” before your thirties.
20. COOKING PASTA AT 4AM
I cooked pasta at 3, 4 or 5 am several times when I was younger. After clubbing I was always hungry so when I returned at home I was cooking pasta. This is a things that I did before my thirties and not I wont do anymore I think.
21. EAT SALMON AND HARRINGS FOR BREAKFAST
This is something that I did when I was in Sweden and Finland because I haven’t choice. It’s a bit disgusting but I survived. Actually is healthier to ear fish for breakfast then bread and butter or cookies.
22. AUTO-STOP
How many times your parents told you to not do an auto-stop but you did. I know I did. This is another things you do when you are young after 30th probably you wont do it anymore in case you are really in need.
23. RIVER RAFTING
24. EAT FIVE ICE-CREAM IN A DAY
I’m obsessed about Ice-cream in Summer time and sometime. It’s happened once that I eat five ice-cream in a Day. Now after 30th five in a day is too much I will do maximum three times a day.
25. ELEPHANT TOUR
As the Camel ride, the elephant tour is something you should try once in a life. I did my very first elephant tour last winter in Jaipur at the wonderful Amber Fort.
26. BE NAKED AT THE BEACH
In France, Spain and Greece exist many nudist beaches. Formentera for example or a very famous one in Mykonos called Super Paradise Beach.  I was in both of those beaches in the past years and I was naked.
27. SEX ON THE BEACH
I’m not talking about the cocktail but in making sex at the beach. Yes I did once when I was in Mykonos. I wanted to keep it secret but well now is not a secret anymore. And you, have you ever make love at the beach? This is something you should try before 30th but even later is never too late.
28. LOVE ON THE ROCKS
This is not a repetition of the previous point but a lexical similarity. In fact Love on the rocks is the name of a exclusive and luxurious party organized by de Grisogono in Cannes during the Film Festival.
29. WRITE A BOOK
Latin said “Verba volant, scriptum manent” which is mean that the word flies the script remains. So there is nothing better then write a book with your ideas, stories, adventures, novels. I have created a charity book two years ago with my mother photos and my journalist friends interview. Now I’ve started to write a book about my life. This book will tell my personal life experience especially in the fashion world.
30. DO A FAIRYTALE BIRTHDAY PARTY
This is what I did for my 30th birthday! And you, what you did for your 30th birthday? If you did something special send the story to press@vfashionworld.com and we will share the best birthday ideas in the next post.
