FIVE REASONS TO VISIT NEPAL

There are many reasons why you should visit Nepal, or you can visit Nepal without any reasons. However Napal is a beautiful Country between India and China, close to Bhutan and Tibet too. In this post you can find top five reasons that will make Nepal your next holiday destination.

1. The Himalaya, the biggest mountains in the world! 

Seven of the 10 tallest mountains in the world are in the Himalayan mountain range of Nepal. This includes Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on the planet! Simply to see with your own eyes the Mount Everest or the Himalayas is a breathtaking emotion that you need to experience once in a life. For all the adventure lovers who like hiking, Nepal is considered as trekking paradise with numerous trekking opportunities from short and easy to extreme adventure. If you come to Nepal as volunteer to help rebuild the Takure orphanage, you can also take the time to go hiking in the beautiful Himalayas.

2. A Unique History and Culture

Nepal is situated between China and India, Nepal has one of the most interesting histories and cultures in the world. With more than 100 different ethnic groups, and strong Buddhist and Hindu religious traditions, Nepal has an inspiring and deeply interesting culture. Bhaktapur and Patan, two ancient cities in the corner of Kathmandu, are listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its rich culture, temples, and wood, metal and stone artworks.

3. Kathmandu, a beautiful city rich in culture

Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, provides numerous inspiring locations to visit as a tourist. Boudhanath offers one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, while Pashupatinath is one of the largest Hindu temples in the country. Swayambhunath or also better well know as the monkey temple, has the best view point of Kathmandu Valley. You can also visit Durbar Square, a great historical landmark, and walk the streets of Thamel for incredible shopping and vibrant culture.

4 Food, Art and Music

Nepal’s most traditional dish is a delicious “dhal bhat” made up of rice, lentil soup and vegetables. The country is also full of tasty Indian food as well as Tibetan momos, chowmein and “the taste of the Himalayas.” There is also beautiful artwork including traditional Tibetan Buddhist thanka paintings, mandalas, yak wool, rugs, bags and more! In every corner or square in Kathmandu you can find panoramic restaurant with terrance and and incredible view of the city.

5. Wildlife

Whether you love birds, yaks or rhinos, Nepal has it all. The mountains provide a home to hundreds of species of birds, plus red pandas and leopards! On the other hand, the Terai region of Nepal offers National Parks with elephants, rhinos and tigers. However monkeys are the most popular animals in the city.

Rebuild Takure

An other reason you can come to Nepal, is to help us to rebuild an orphanage in Takure, in the Sindupalchok Valley, the most destroyed area in Nepal. This is our charity project in Nepal.
