The Temple of Heaven was absolutely magical and mysterious. I felt like in the final episode of Pechino Express, the Italian TV- Show.
The Temple of Heaven in Beijing is a complex religious building where the Emperors of the Mind and Qing dynasties went for annual ceremonies, prayers and sacrificial offerings to Heaven for good harvest in the coming year. It has been regarded as a Taoist Temple.
The temple complex was constructed from 1406 to 1420 during the reign of the Youngle Emperor, who was also responsible for the construction of the Forbidden City in Beijing.
The Temple of Heaven was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998 and was described as “a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design which simply and graphically illustrates a cosmogony of great importance for the evolution of one of the world’s great civilizations…”
The day I paid homage to the Temple of Heaven I was wearing flower print jeans by Zara, blue belt by Hermès and a blue sweater, Moncler Jacket, Ugg with fur, Gucci new golden monogram bag and Tom Ford Sunglasses. Enjoy the photos!
